It has been a crazy spring and we didn't want it to end this way but unfortunately my sister passed away this past Sunday. She fought colon cancer for a little over 4 years but it would seem that God needed her more than we did. We tried at least! While the Relay for Life for Cabot raised over $43,000 we did more moving of stuff than actually walking! We got the ok from the committee to set up on the football field at 1pm so Kevin and I made a few trips over with tents and chairs and coolers and such and went back at 5:30 with dinner and the cookies to get started in earnest. Not much is going on these days. No knitting in over three weeks. Ok.....I have cast on the Jo Sharp Cable Sweater! Bottom ribbing is finished and I am finally into the pattern! No pictures yet but I now recall someome wishing that they had chosen to knit for someone smaller! These are Paige's Chicken socks. I loved the colors , they seemed to be very chicken like to me! I changed these to continue the k2 p2 ribbing to the toes on the tops because I don't care for the baggy look on the top of my feet! These worked out really well and are just cute little anklets! I was even more excited to get the stripes to match up!Now I am officially addicted to sock knitting!
