Pressure starting to get to ya?

Ok, I am starting to get stressed out, not only did I choose a REALLY tough project for this Knitting Olympics, I haven't picked up my project in TWO DAYS! WHAT AM I THINKING!

I need to knit, I need to knit! I should have told the Girl Scouts that there was no way we could do cookie delivery during the olympics! What were they thinking! I spent most of the day today unloading and loading and moving and counting cases and cases of cookies! Do you know what is worse than being on a diet? Being on a diet and being surrounded by 3200+ cases of Girl Scout cookies! At least it was a good workout!

I promise, as soon as my last parent picks up their cookies tonight I will complete at least 2 pattern repeats on my sweater! And tomorrow I will do nothing but knit after I get back from the gym!

Still no pictures of my olympic knitting so I will put in some pics of my mom's newly felted purse! I think she was amazed at how fast it shrinks up! Here are the before and after pictures, please ignore the fact that she is in her pj's, that bothered her (ok, don't tell her I posted it please!) She kept asking how big she was supposed to knit this bag, It actually would have fit my oldest as a dress! Of course Kumette had to watch the action while the old washer worked it's magic! At least she didn't jump in this time, she has a habit of chasing the soap bubbles! Very funny the first few times it happens! Ok, you are right.....it's funny EVERY time! I won't tell her if you don't!

Ok, I am off to try to knit for a little while before I have to go have parents sign away their lives for a few cases of cookies! I really should get knitting on the olympic project but this new Lorna's Laces is calling my name, it is a beautiful shade of green and is making me think of St. Pat's socks! Ok....I will knit on olympic sweater.....but I will be thinking of the socks!

It's a project of Olympic Proportion!

Ok.....

I have cast on the Jo Sharp Cable Sweater! Bottom ribbing is finished and I am finally into the pattern! No pictures yet but I now recall someome wishing that they had chosen to knit for someone smaller! This might have been a better selection if I had chosen to knit for my neice who would have fit in the smallest size! I will try to get pictures of my progress posted later this weekend!

In the meantime.....here is a picture of the FREE fridge that Best Buy was kind enough to give me which holds a great deal of diet coke and sits right under my desk next to my knitting chair! Yippee, no more getting distracted in the kitchen when I want to be knitting and TiVoing!

Busy Knitting Day......Yippee!

It has been really busy, we had the first Little Rock knitter meetup last night and then I had a knitting class this morning, great knitting time just not enough on my own projects! Guess that the Purple sweater is not going to be done before I begin the knitting olympics but thats ok , I will get the back done and then I need to swatch for my olympic project! Can't wait! I don't have any cool pictures to post today but I did add the weather girl on the side! I will try to post a pic of my swatch later, maybe I can do that tonight during survivor!

Rescued!

YEA! I managed to salvage most of the HD and this is a good thing! I got to do a little Best Buy shopping and get some new toys for the computer so on to.............

The Knitting!

I finished my gloves, they have been sitting here unfinished for a while and I finally found them the other morning and decided it was time to fix that! They are the Gardening Gloves in the Louisa Harding Accessories collection and they were very simple to make! I used her Kimono Angora yarn and it is my new favorite! I am totally in love with this yarn, it is the softest yarn ever, I did notice however that it breaks very easily so I stuck with bamboo needles so they didn't get stretched out from the weight of metal needles!

The other thing I noticed about this yarn is the fact that I am apparently allergic to Angora! This is tragic but I think I can live with my nose itching and eyes watering, especially if the yarn is this soft! Angora is not the only culprit, Sadly I have the same reaction to alpaca!

I am currently knitting the Jo Sharp scarf from the Scarf Style book to go with these! The feather and fan pattern really shows up well in the Kimono angora! We will have to wait to see if I can live with having the scarf that close to my face, otherwise it may have to end up being a gift! That would break my heart because this is the first thing I have REALLY wanted to keep for me!

Ok, more later, I have to go swatch for my olympic knitting project, It is another Jo Sharp pattern and my first cabled sweater! I chose a really pretty slate grey with a touch of blue to it, should turn out really pretty! I will try to post daily updates for the sweater and I am going to try to get finished with my other sweater before the opening ceremonies! Wish me luck!
