Dear Kristi,

I am so sorry for posting here on your site, but I couldn't find access to your e-mail. I was Sandi's roommate at SMSU (our freshman year). I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I heard about you and the Creighton family on many, many occasions. Thank goodness for your blogs or I would have ignorantly sent a Christmas card to her house this year. I sent cards this year and was going to get caught up with her, when I found your blog. Ironically, I work at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis in research. I never even knew that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Sandi was such a wonderful being. I had not communicated with her, since back around the time Lauren was born. I let too many years go by. I will never get over that. I am also writing to let you know that during our freshman year Sandi wrote a paper for English Composition that I would like for your family and also Mike to have. It was a paper they asked us to write projecting what our lives would be in ten years. Sandi in typical Sandi fashion met all of her goals as predicted in that paper; teaching, married to Mike and with children. I have the paper because I had proof read it for her and teased her that I wanted to keep a copy. She asked why and I told her that she was the only person I knew that could accurately project that far in advance and be accurate. Sandi was always accurate. I would love for you all to have this little piece of her. She was a wonderful soul. I will always remember her. I have now created my own blog with my first entry dedicated to her (brittons4@blogspot.com). Please feel free to contact me. I'd love to send the paper to you to share with Sandi's family.

Sincerely,
Kathryn (Burks) Britton
